Here's how dictionary.com describes the term fascism: "A form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation or victimhood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy and purity, in which a mass-based party of committed nationalist militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external expansion." [Robert O. Paxton, "The Anatomy of Fascism," 2004]

New Temple built by Project GANESH!

Paul started a nonprofit organization a few years ago to sponsor the restoration of temples, education and economic development in Indian villages. Since 2004, Project GANESH has donated three village shrines, steps to a hilltop temple, school teacher salaries, benches, tables and other support, and a dining hall for a high school. Project GANESH also gave emergency food and shelter following the 2004 tsunami disaster, and later provided fishing nets to help restore villagers' livelihoods.
During his latest trip to India, Paul and his co-director, Richard Stocker, broke ground for a new shrine at an ancient temple complex in the village of Kadalur, in Tamil Nadu. This shrine will house a statue of Ganesh, the Hindu god of auspicious beginnings. The statue of Ganesh is currently sitting on the ground in another shrine because there was no building for it. This is a view of the nearly-completed shrine sponsored by Project GANESH.
